Turning Dreams and Shifting Harbors is based on
interviews with migrants living in Los Angeles, about
their dreams, visions & wishes before and after their
migration and on impressions on citywalks. The instal-
lation
is a space created out of sounds and citations from
the interviews, drawings and objects, focusing on the asso-
ciation of these elements, and on possible connections bet-
ween them. Christina Clar (sound) and Peter Jap Lim
(objects, drawings).

Performance with the Institute for Transacoustic
Research
a group of musicians and researchers
from different fields based in Austria at
Bains::connective.

Turning Dreams and Shifting Harbors Some pictures
of drawings by Peter Jap Lim and of the patch that was
triggering the sound, programming by Fabrice Moinet.
The sound is not edited but mixed and processed in real
time always creating new transitions. The circulation of
the sound is the result of the spatialization, the movement
of the public and the real-time processing and mixing.

Somewhere else, history continues... An installation/
performance or performance/installation, a non-linear
polyphony of sounds, projections and human response
shaping territories between cultures, frontlines and
borderlands. Residency at Bains::Connective (read the
interview; see the clip).
